“Living Free of Stress – Now” Workshop and Retreat

Dear Friend,
If you or any persons you know provide children’s services or services that benefit children, then you and they are invited to attend a one-day workshop/retreat on releasing and preventing stress. This special event, called “Living Free of Stress – Now”, is being provided free of charge to the people of New Orleans on Thursday, October 12th; Saturday, October 14th and Tuesday, October 17th.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
“Living Free of Stress – Now” is designed especially for children’s services providers including:
- Head Start staff and childcare providers

Health care and mental health professionals

Support personnel and anyone working closely with children

WHO IS SPONSORING THIS WORKSHOP?
AHAM-the Association of Happiness for All Mankind, a non-profit organization based in Asheboro, North Carolina and the New Orleans-based Institute of Mental Hygiene are working together to present these specially designed workshop sessions. AHAM operates two meditation retreat and training centers providing workshops, retreats, telephone seminars and support programs throughout the U.S., Canada, India and worldwide.

WHO ARE THE TRAINERS?
The workshops will be conducted by two qualified trainers from the AHAM Meditation Retreat and Training Center:
- Stan Davis - Stan spent over 4 months in New Orleans conducting stress relief sessions for area service providers and first responders shortly after Hurricane Katrina.
- Dr. Linda Swanson - Linda brings many years of experience in working with families and children, having developed curriculums for family and child-centered programs.
PROGRAM AND REGISTRATION DETAILS:
Each of the “free-of-charge” workshops will run from 8:30am to 4:30pm, including ample time for breaks and lunch. Pre-registration is required and we ask that participants arrive on time and remain for the entire program. Register today—space is limited!
WORKSHOPS LOCATIONS:
- October 12th and 17th workshop/retreats held on the first floor meeting room of the K & B Plaza Building located at 1055 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. Parking is available in the rear gated lot accessible from both Calliope and Carondelet Streets.
- The October 14th workshop/retreat will be held at the Depaul/Tulane University Multi-Purpose Room at 1040 Calhoun Street, near the Zoo.
