leadership Initiative: Message From The Chair |

The past two years have been an exciting
demonstration of what dedicated women can do when
they pool their time and resources. We have had tremendous
growth and developed an infrastructure to support
our goals. We have shown the community through Success
By 6, our advocacy and our sold-out events that we
are an organized group with the power to make things
happen. We have shown we are not just a Women's Leadership
Initiative, but that we are women leaders.
In the coming two years, I expect to see Success
By 6 take off and demonstrate the power of quality,
affordable childcare that we can offer our area.
I expect us to continue our membership growth and
achieve 800 members. I expect us to take a strong
position of advocacy, telling our representatives
what is important to us - the unique health and
human service needs of women and children. I hope
to see us become a driving force in our area, making
a difference and seeing the results. Most of all,
I hope you all continue with me as partners on this
journey.
I want to start my term as I hope to finish it,
by thanking you all for your support, leadership,
enthusiasm and vision. Together we women have an
amazing power and we will use it to make a difference
for the most vulnerable women and children in this
state.
