...preparing the future workforce to participate
in rebuilding and revitalizing their communities...

The School to Career Initiative of the United Way
for the Greater New Orleans Area functions as an education intermediary.

It’s MISSION is to be a catalyst for the improvement of schools.

The VISION of School to Career is ALL students graduate from high school prepared for post-secondary education or training and the pursuit of a career and committed to community service and lifelong learning.

Our 3-5 year GOALS are to facilitate the launching of at least two 21st century, career-focused high schools in Orleans Parish, to interact with 50% of the Pre-K through 8th grade schools in the United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area's service area through the framework of a unique new career awareness curriculum, and to deliver on the five promises of the America's Promise Organization that 2,000 (+) children and youth impacted by the hurricane through a Katrina's Kids Project.
