Saints and United Way hold 4th Annual Community Patrol Summer Camps

Saints and United Way Community Patrol LogoThe New Orleans Saints and United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area teamed up once again to present the 2007 Community Patrol Summer Camps.  Each of the five (5) one-day camps were held at the New Orleans Saints training facility and were for local students ages 9-13.

The camps, led by a coaching staff, teach each participant various football skills.  Throughout these skill rotations, participants also gained the opportunity to learn “life skills” through lessons taught by representatives of the Children’s Bureau.  This summer’s camps focused once again on conflict resolution, adaptation and coping skills, and crisis management.

The goal is to teach skills that will improve the behavior and attitudes of the participants in preparation for the new school year through football.

The Community Patrol Camps are provided free-of-charge through the Saints and United Way partnership.
