McGraw-Hill Publishers held their National Sales Meeting in New Orleans at the Hilton Riverside from January 4th-11th, 2007. Some of the attendees brought gift cards from major stores such as Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart and Target, which they donated to United Way. 

United Way will use the donated gift cards through the Unmet Needs Committees in Orleans, Jefferson, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, and Tangipahoa Parishes to provide necessary assistance to those in need of materials as they rebuild their lives. 

The group also volunteered in the city during their stay by helping paint a local school and putting together bicycles for a local orphanage.
