United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area fell victim to the recently rising crime in the city. During the weekend of January 6 – 7, thieves broke into the non-profit’s Canal Street office and stole 14 computers valued at approximately $30,000. “Luckily we have backups to virtually everything," stated Gary Ostroske, United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area president.
When Omni Bank heard about the burglary they hurried to help out. Omni’s Senior Vice President Todd Murphy, and Director of Human Resources Frank Martinez, delivered ten computers to assist United Way employees in getting back to work. |
